1 Week

This cute little thing hit her one week mark yesterday. She is such a good baby. I just can't get enough of her, and her soft little head.

Ruby Elizabeth Gerber

We are so happy to have our little Ruby with us. She was born on September 14th at 3:07 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz, and was 19 inches long. I was having contractions early Wednesday morning and when I got to the hospital to be induced my contractions were about 3 minutes apart, and I was dilated to a 4. We were off to a good start. I got hooked up to the pitocin around 10 am to get things going.  After a while of waiting and contractions getting stronger I got my epidural and then the doctor broke my water. After that it wasn't too long before it was time to push. I pushed for a whole 7 minutes and our beautiful baby girl was born. Pretty uneventful....besides the fact that her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice. She was breathing fine, and it wasn't too tight, so luckily things were under control. We were grateful that she came out so healthy. It is nice to be home. Gavin is loving his new baby sister. He loves to help wrap her in her blanket, give her kisses, and shows us where her head, eyes, nose etc...are.

Ruby is a great baby so far. She sleeps, and sleeps and sleeps, and is pretty content and calm. There is nothing like a brand new little baby to smell and snuggle.

40 Weeks

Well, the day has come. I'm am due to have a baby today..but so far no such luck. Tomorrow morning I am being induced, so sometime tomorrow (sooner rather than later) we will have a little baby girl to add to our family. Can't wait to meet her! Wish me luck!

My Little Helper

Gavin loves to help me set the table for dinner. When he is done it usually looks a little something like this. ;)

End of Summer

Here are a few things we finished off the summer with:

A couple splash pad trips
Ward camp out
Searching for bugs/animals

 Trip to Hinkley Lake

 Getting buried in the sand.

Chalk drawings with Dad. Not bad, huh?

Somebody Is 2!

On Sunday my sweet little guy turned two! I know it's what everyone says, but they grow so fast! I can't believe my baby is such a big boy now. He has such a fun personality and gets so excited and animated about everything. He is very observant to sounds....planes, cars, birds, you name it he hears it and gets so excited about it. Gavin loves, loves airplanes, cars, and trains. He loves to wrestle his dad, and Grandpa over skype (we call it cyber-wrestling). Sometimes when Adam is gone at night little G will come over and give me "the elbow" (which is some wrestling thing Adam taught him) which means he wants to wrestle. Maybe in a few (or more) weeks when this baby decides to join the world I might be a better wrestling candidate. Gavin loves to help in the kitchen, and if I put on my apron, he must have one on too. Lately he has been pretending he is a dog. So funny. Most days he is seen flying his airplanes, driving his cars and trains all over the house.
He loves to give kisses and hugs and snuggle in the bed every morning. It is the best.

I love my big two year old boy......so much.

I wasn't the best picture taker. Adam was busy getting a video of Gavin blowing out the candles, so this is the best I got. ha. There is always next year, right?
 Gavin and his friend Ratie.
And Charlotte. These two are little BFF. Gavin calls for her everyday, and they usually find each other walking around outside. It is always a sad moment when they have to say goodbye. ;)
He was excited to open that box from Grandma and Grandpa Gerber to find a sweet Lightning McQueen car.
And clapped as he opened his little Thomas train set from Grandma and Grandpa Merrill.
Thanks Grandparents for all the birthday fun!
