A Cleveland Christmas--Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so fun seeing the kids faces light up. It is so magical for them. I love watching their little expressions.
Ready to head downstairs to see if Santa came.
This is Ruby's new little face she makes...love it.
Santa delivered. Gavin was in heaven with his new spy plane from "Cars 2"
Apparently Adam is a little excited about our breakfast casserole.
Ruby loves her new baby stroller.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

A Cleveland Christmas--Christmas Eve

This was our second Christmas here in Cleveland away from family. Although I miss being with family (baking, playing games, watching movies) it was fun laying low here at home. Adam has been busy studying for his boards part 2 exam that he takes this Friday...eeek! So, it was nice to have a couple days of just having fun and spending time together. Christmas Eve was spent making sugar cookies, and playing in the snow. My kids love being outside in the snow...seriously I don't think they ever realize that they are cold. The kids got some new Christmas jammies that I made :). They fit perfect and they loved them...success. We read in Luke 2 and watched the little movie online as well. Watched "The Grinch" and got the kids to bed early. Luckily Gavin reminded me about leaving cookies out for Santa and some food for the reindeer. Adam and I watched "A Wonderful Life"-love that movie. Our Christmas Eve was perfect.

Ruby was a pro with that rolling pin.

Just enjoying a little Christmas Eve candy cane.

Fun in a Box

This box provided a few days worth of fun. It was a house, and a favorite reading spot apparently.

Nocolurs

Nocolurs...also known as binoculars. Gavin loves playing with Adam's binoculars and said to me the other day, "Mom, take a picture of me looking at the tree with my nocolurs." I absolutely love that boy, and his silly little words.

Thanksgiving

This year we were lucky enough to head to Utah for Thanksgiving. It was so fun seeing all of the Utah cousins and spending time with family. We did the traditional movie and Chuck-A-Rama the day after Thanksgiving and then headed to the Marriott in Salt Lake, where we walked around Temple Square and the new mall. We then came back for some swimming and late night games. Miss all you guys already.

Ruby with her cousins Natalie, Hailey, and Paige...such beautiful girls.
Adam with all his siblings. It has been a long time since they have all been together at once.
Ruby couldn't keep her hands off the pretty tree at the Marriott.
 Gavin and Cameron.
A little Thanksgiving family photo op...checking out the new City Creek Mall.

Hanging out at the hotel after a long night, and lots of swimming.
 Gavin and Olivia.
 Ruby and Chandler.
This baby girl loves her daddy.
 Eating some good Thanksgiving grub.
Ruby looks a little weary of her big Uncle Jo. ;)

Halloween in Oregon

One of our last moments in Oregon at Grandma and Grandpa Merrill's house was spent doing a little Halloweening. We carved pumpkins. Ruby was the cutest little elephant ever. Gavin was the scariest ghost you've ever seen...seriously...he had some crazy ghost eyes. He had fun trick-or-treating and checking out all his candy. Ruby was pretty excited about his candy pile as well.

Ruby was a little cautious about Gavin the whole night. She kept staring at him, and pointing at his face...wondering who was really under that white face.

I know Ruby's head is totally blurry, but I love this pic with Gavin giving her a little taste of his sucker.
