This is what my little man looks like when he runs...both feet floating high off the ground. He's a little runner....a fast one.

Last Moments of Summer
We've been soaking up this beautiful Oregon weather as much as we can. Here are some of the highlights of our end of summer activities:
Morning walks and picking blackberries
Swimming every afternoon
Dreyers fruit bars before we swim
Playing in the sandbox
Looking at hummingbirds out the family room window
Looking at deer out of the dining room window. Yesterday we saw three bucks in a row, and a couple days in a row we saw a mom and dad with two little babies. Gavin loves seeing them walk by.
And the best part of our summer...Gavin learned to swim!

Funny Faces
Lately every time I tell Gavin to smile for the camera he tells me he wants to do a silly face. This is what we usually end up with.

Lucky
We have been so lucky to have my brother Phil here with us this past week. He he is traveling back West from North Carolina. Gavin loves "Uncle Phil" and was extra excited to have him here for his birthday.
Ruby couldn't get enough cake apparently. She's just getting ready for her birthday in a couple weeks.
Birthday Boy
My little Gavin turned 3 a few days ago! 3! I can't believe it! He had a little party at the lake with some of his friends. It was the perfect day, and the weather cooperated...no rain and warm weather! All summer Gavin has been telling me he wanted a Toy Story birthday...so that's what he got. When his friends showed up he would say, "this is my party!!" He was so excited. It was cute.
Adam created this sweet Mr. Potato head game. It was pretty funny to watch a bunch of blind folded 3 year olds try to put all the pieces back on Mr. Potato Head.
