Adam's Graduation

Well, the day finally came and went. Adam graduated from Kent State on May 16, 2013! He is now officially a doctor of Podiatric Medicine. It was such an exciting day filled with lots of emotions. Both mine and Adam's parents were able to be there to support him. He has been working so hard these last 8 years of school. It is such a nice feeling to be done with school, but at the same time a little sad. We love all the friends we have made and all the memories that have come from our schooling years. Now on to the next chapter in our lives...residency. We have been here in Columbus for almost 2 weeks now. Adam starts his orientation for residency at Ohio State Medical Center on Tuesday. He is excited to get back in the swing of things. We have been trying to soak up all the time left with dad. He has been home for the past 3 1/2 months so it will definitely take some adjusting to him being gone all the time.
I am so proud of Adam and all his hard work. I'm so grateful for all he does for our family, and am excited for our new little life here in Columbus where we will be for the next 3 years.

Pittsburgh Trip

Back in February we headed over to Pittsburgh for a fun few days with my parents. My dad had some conferences there, so we had fun swimming at the hotel, eating out, going to the Children's museum, and watching some movies. The kids had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Merrill. There flight got delayed, and they ended up not coming in on Tuesday night like they were supposed to. They finally made it Wednesday morning, and when we got to the airport to pick them up Gavin got so excited his little eyes welled up with tears. Seriously, the cutest thing I have ever seen. We were so happy they had finally made it!
This cute little girl would only go in the hot tub. Once in a while she would get in the pool for a second, but then realized the hot tub was so much warmer!

 His first 3D movie.

Easter

We had a fun Easter this year. We did a big Easter egg hunt with friends. They had a little small room just for the little ones, and the rest of the kids were outside. Adam went with Gavin, and I went with Ruby. Once she realized that her dad wasn't there she didn't even care about the eggs and just kept saying, "where daddy?" Then I got her back into the action. That girl loves her daddy. So sweet.
Sunday we had dinner with some friends, and tried to get a some good family pictures. I tried getting some of Gavin and Ruby outside at the church, but Gavin wouldn't even stand in the picture...ha. So, this is what we got.
Most importantly, we got to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. I am so grateful for my Savior, and know that he lives. I feel so blessed to know the things that I know. Our Heavenly Father loves us, and I know he is watching over me and my family.
